Dan and Si were out for a quick mid week break on their first trip with us, and in
challenging early February conditions Si landed this nice 32lb carp, whilst
Dan was on the Zander, and had a 7lber on the bank.
Anthony, Jon and Anthony arrived during changeable weather, and the fishing continued to
be hard. Nevertheless, Jon had a nice 136lb cat and there was a 33lb for Jon
Steve and Tracey were on a quick 4 day break, and saw some good carp on the bank,
including a 41lb and a 48lb for Steve and Tracey was not far behind with a 35lb.
Steve was also hauling in the cats on carp gear to 88lb
Martin, John and Craig, came on a 4 day trip, and were soon on the fish.
They had 18 carp on the bank inc 35lb for Martin, 32 for John and 7 x 20lbers for Craig,
and very entertaining they were too!
Tony Smith came over for a week, and had 25 fish, including cats of 74lb and 93lb,
2.5lb roach, and carp to 28lb, a real nice bloke and good company.
Martin and Alan were out with us for just 3 days, and landed carp to 35lb carp for Alan,
they booked a return trip straight away !
Chris and Steve were back out to see us again, and over 3 days had 14 fish
including 4 x 30lbers to 39.5 for Chris and a 34lb for Steve.
Father and son, Ashley Snr and Ashley Jnr had a very good weeks fishing,
with 40 carp on the bank, inc 8 x 30lbers and a 45lb for Ash Jnr and
a
37lb for Ash Snr plus a very nice 26lb fully scaled.
Two of our reprobate mates, Paul and David, aka Crabstick and Rodney,
were back again, for another pilgrimage to the banks of the Ebro.
Despite wearing the lucky pants, the 100lb still escaped Rodney’s hook,
but he did catch
the 99lber that passed by, whilst Paul had carp to 27lb.
Martin and Alan were back again, for a 5 day break, and they had 18 fish including
cats to 98lb and carp to 27lb for Martin. See you in November guys.
Daniel and Dominic were over for just 3 days, and had 17 cats to 61 lb for Dominic.
The two Johns, and Mark, were very entertaining and over 3 days had 22 cats to
120 lb for Mark & 10 carp to 27lb for Jon Bailey.
Barry Hobbs, Ade and Alan, were out for 4 days and had a massive 76 cats = 4778 lb total
inc 11 x 100+lbers, with a 184lb for Barry, 150lb Ade & 126lb for Alan.
Well done the boys! Who needs an International Cat Fishing Competition!
Doug, Steve, Glyn, and Mark, along with Jackie and Clare, were back for the annual fishing trip. During a fantastic week’s fishing, they had 101 cats weighing 5905lb in total including 14 x 100lbers to 164lb for Mark. Once again they bought top full English cuisine to the banks of the Ebro, which has yet to be beaten. Come back soon lad’s we’re missing the Brekkies.
Richard Keeling came over on his own, for a few days R & R, and had
17 fish inc 2 x 37lb carp on the bank.
And they were back again, Crabstick and Rodney, back again, so that Rodney
could NOT catch a 100lber, and he didn’t. 20 fish on the bank, including a 136lb catfish,
and 32, and 36lb for Paul NOT Rodney. Roll on October boys!
Never mind the lucky pants Rodders, go commando, it may just work!
Malcolm, Stuart and Craig, had some fantastic fish over their weeks trip with us,
including 150lb cat & 39lb carp for Stuart, 136lb cat & 37lb carp for Malcolm,
and 136lb cat & 40lb and 43lb carp for Craig. 48 fish in all,
not a bad week’s work at all boys !
Every year, we try to give something back, by donating a carp fishing trip for 2 people,
to charity. Wesley Watson was chuffed to win this year, and he brought
along Graham and Rich. They had 21 fish on the bank, including a 114lb cat fish
for Graham, a 33lb for Rich and a 25lb carp for Wes.
Chris, Tom, Ollie, Mick and Tom, had a fantastic 3 day trip, with 41 fish on the bank,
inc 2 x 100lbers to 187lb for Tom Baldry and carp to 27 for the other Tom!
Tom Baldry had more excitement when shortly after, he also caught a nice
big hook in his finger and saw the sites of Alcaniz hospital!
Our mate Lee, landed 20 fish including cats to 136 & carp to 31lb
Our good mate Darren, came back to see us again, and had 31 cats over
just 4 days fishing, inc 3 x 100 lbers to 166lb
Our man Trev was back again this time bringing some USA Army buddies.
We can safely say vast quantities of beer were consumed, in between bouts of
full on fishing, and over 3 days, there were 25 cats on the bank to 133lb for Chris,
126lb for Nick and 122lb for Trev.
Shaun’s fishing trip was truly a surprise all round. Booked for him as a birthday present,
him and his fishing mate Jamie, had 21 cats inc 5 x 100 lbers with a massive, 201lb,
and 158lb cat plus a 30lb carp for Shaun, and a 128lb cat for Jamie!
Hope to see you again Shaun if only to get a new pb for us all!
Mark, Alex and Jason were out on a week’s trip with us, and had 33 fish on the bank,
including a nice 169lb for Alex, a 155lb for Mark and a 36lb carp for Jason.
Des and his family dropped in to see us again on his way to Italy,
they had 8 cats to 80lb and nice 49lb carp for Des.
