THE BOYS WERE BACK IN TOWN

"caught more fish on this
trip than we’ve ever
caught before"

These four friends, who we originally met in 2004, usually manage a yearly fishing trip and have travelled extensively in search of a good weeks sport. On this return trip to the Ebro, they were not disappointed.

Following a leisurely drive down from Zaragoza , and after a good nights rest, they had a relaxing first day on the bank. With light rain on and off during the day, a respectable 16 fish to 32lb was netted. On the following day, Dave netted two 30lb plus carp and an unexpected 86lb cat fish on carp gear.

Most of the cats were caught on carp gear and two days later Steve’s alarms screamed off with another huge 109lb catfish. It was a long hard fight.

Well done Steve! Respect!

The boys had 6 chilled out days fishing, spending around 10 hours a day on the bank. They caught a total of 2480lb of fish, with carp to 34lb, and all 4 had a catfish over 100lb. All in all, a success.

After a hard days fishing, they sampled the various bars and restaurants in the town, and became almost word perfect ordering Chinese in English, in Spain!

Gary catches the illusive Alan
After poaching one too many takes, making one too many comments about the size of his beer belly, and beating off the others with a bamboo pole, Alan had gone too far. Gary had enough and went for the throat.
