TALES FROM THE RIVER BANKSome of the Ebrocatncarp regular customers have busy lives back in the UK and instead of booking a week at a time, they like the freedom of booking several short breaks with us during the year. Bob Creamer from Sudbury was on his fourth trip with us, and he likes nothing more than to bivvy up on the bank for a spot of hardcore fishing. Bob pitched up this time with his mate Mick also from North Essex, who was also on his second visit to us. After catching an early Thursday morning flight from Stansted to Reus , and a quick visit to the supermarket for supplies Bob and Mick were casting out just after lunch. The sun came out, their shirts came off, and they just couldn’t stop catching fish.
Bob hauls out a 28lb carp During their stay on the bank, the lads experienced the whole range of Spanish weather, which can change by the hour, and over the weekend, saw a few bolts of lightening, got a nice wash down in spring rain, and also a touch of sunburn. But nothing stopped the alarms screaming off and over 3 days fishing they had over 80 fish on the bank. Not bad for a lads weekend away!
A 26lb beauty for Mick on the River Ebro at ChipranaBob and Mick took it easy on their weekend break and lived the outdoor life on the riverbank. After a short 2 hour flight from Stansted, we collected them from Reus airport and drove them to the river bank. Their licences were ready when they arrived, and we provided their bivvie, bed chairs and all their tackle making it a completely stress free holiday. Fishing Friday, Saturday and Sunday, unfortunately Monday morning and their flight home came all too soon for the lads, but another visit to the Ebro is already planned for later in the year. With over 80 fish to 37lb on the bank, they certainly had a value for money fishing weekend in Spain! Click here to see all our news articles
