Mark and John

After a bout of ill health, a spot of restorative fishing was just the job for our old mate Mark,
back for his 5th trip of the year with his mate John and their wives.  They netted 658lb of fish,
10 cats and 13 carp. See you next year Mark!

Glyn Doug and Mark

After an October trip in 2007, Glyn returned with his brother Doug and nephew Mark to try for some big cats, and between them landed an amazing 104 cat fish!  Along with this, there was a nice 35lb carp for Glyn and 31lb carp for Doug. Needless to say they are already booked
for a return trip in 2009!

 

Barry

After he’d braved a chilly carp fishing trip in December 2007, Barry was back for some warmer Spanish sun, and to try for catfish, and wasn’t disappointed with 28 catfish over 3 days, as well as 60lb baby caught on carp gear

 

Jim

Our old mate Jim Kelly was back again for his 2nd trip this year, we’ve lost count of how many times altogether that Jim has been fishing with Ebrocatncarp, but he’s in double figures!   In between long chill out sessions on his favourite bedchair,  Jim woke up occasionally to haul in 23 cats and 17 carp!   See you soon Jim!

Liam, Paul and George

Having fished with Heiko before, Liam was on a return trip to the Ebro, this time bringing Paul and George. Novice angler George landed a huge 136lb cat fish with his first ever strike!  Over just 4 days fishing, and in between some mad moments when we also saw far too much of what’s under George’s  Calvin Kleins, the lads hauled in an impressive 52 cats,
as well as a nice 32lb carp for Paul.

 

Giles and Mark

Giles and Mark were on their first fishing trip with Ebrocatncarp, and with quite challenging windy conditions landed 11 cats and 15 carp over 3 days, with a 128lb cat and 32lb carp for Giles and 113lb cat, and 38lb carp for Mark, including a great double take!

 

Alan Jnr  Alan Snr!

Taking some time out for a nice bit of father and son fishing, the two Alans, chilled out together and over just 3 quite short days fishing, landed 19 cats totalling 1003lb, as well as a nice 36lb carp.

River News

Water levels are now high due to lots of rain over the past few weeks and melting snow coming down from the mountains. This cold water has slowed the fishing down, but now as the days become hotter, the water levels are starting to drop and the water is warming up and becoming clearer, this is bringing the fish back on the feed.

Cat and carp fishing has been slow due to the floods on the Ebro, but the numbers of fish on the bank increases daily, with plenty of carp in the high 20’s and 30’s coming out.

Due the changeable weather conditions, the cats have been on and off the feed, but now summer has arrived, we are seeing plenty of ton ups on the bank, which we expect, as last year, will continue well into the Autumn months.
