SEPTEMBER BRINGS

MATT & KEV
Our good friend Matt, on his 5th trip out with Ebrocatncarp, bought over his mate Kev and also beat his Ebro pb with another 156lb cat, swiftly followed by a 130lb. Together they landed 647lb of fish in under 3 days including several high 20’s carp for Kev. The local bar will never forget the chaotic disruption due to this bunch needing 2 extra tables to cope with the HUGE food order, and the feral cat has yet to recover from the copious leftovers! IAN & ANDY
Earlier in the year, after landing an amazing 48lb monster carp, on this return trip to see us, Andy had a hard act to follow! Hot on his heels was Ian, chasing his last trip pb of 41lb. The carp sessions kept them busy, with takes all day long, including 3 over 30lb. These hardcore angling mates hauled in 1949lb of fish over 6 days, with 4 cats over 100lb in a 3 days cat fishing session including a new pb of 134lb for Andy, and a 108lb for Ian. They’ll be back for more of the same. We’re asking Tetley’s for tea sponsorship just for you guys! DAVID, RONNIE & NEAL These first time visitors to the Ebro were not sure what to expect on their long weekend break. What an amazing time they had, with a fantastic total weight of 1824lb in just 3 days. With 8 ton ups, and a 152lb for Neal, 140 for Ronnie, and a 128lb for David as well as a nice 32lb carp. All beat their pb’s and now they know exactly what to expect on their return trip from Bonnie Scotland! The Spanish Hills have never been so alive since the sound of Neal’s singing, not to mention his Strictly Come Dancing! SHAUN, TONY, ANDY, GRAHAM & ANDY
These likely lads from oop North, were on a lads away break, and after an amazing time on the bank, rounded it off nicely with a quick stop off in Salou on the way home! Day 1 was a bit disappointing when nature stepped and the very high wind made any serious fishing virtually impossible. But the stakes were raised when fishing for just the next 2 days, there were double takes on the mat, and they landed 2691lb of fish, with 12 ton ups, including an amazing 157lb for Tony, a 155lb for Graham, 135lb for Shaun, a 116lb for Andy ( the only man with a tash in Hull ) and for the other Andy, a 126lb. They sampled many of the local bars and everyone is braced for their next visit. |

| River News
Water levels have stayed almost the same for over 2 weeks now, and it is unlikely to fall any further. Less water is being sucked out of the river as most of the surrounding crops are harvested, and therefore do not need so much water as before and the levels will probably begin to rise quite soon. The weather has already changed, with now a more Autumnal feel of crisper blue skies, but also with more rain and cloudy days. Cat and carp fishing this year has been extremely good, however zander and bass have not been so prolific because of the large amounts of small fish in the river providing good natural food for those species.Click here to see more News |
